A change in the quantity of a good or service that consumers are willing to purchase due solely to a price change, represented by movement along a demand curve while all other factors remain constant. This is distinct from a change in demand, which refers to a shift of the entire demand curve due to changes in factors such as income, preferences, or prices of related goods.
