Factoring of Accounts Receivable, often referred to as “factoring accounts receivable,” is a financial transaction where a business sells its accounts receivable to a third party (a factor) at a discount. This process provides immediate cash flow to the business, transferring the credit risk associated with the receivables to the factor. It is commonly used to improve liquidity and manage cash flow.
