Home » CMA Glossary Term » General CMA Questions » How much time is allocated for the MCQ vs case-based questions sections?

You get three hours for the multiple-choice section (100 questions) and one hour for the case-based questions section (two scenarios with multiple sub-questions each). Total exam time is four hours. The MCQ section ends automatically when time runs out or when you choose to submit and move forward — once you exit MCQs, you cannot return. The case-based section starts immediately after (or after your optional short break).
