It typically arrives in your scheduling confirmation email and serves as proof that you have a valid, scheduled exam time at a specific testing center. You’ll want this number on hand for any rescheduling, cancellations, or questions you have for Prometric. On exam day, you don’t technically need the confirmation number to check in (your photo ID is what they verify), but I always tell candidates to bring it just in case. Save the confirmation email in a dedicated folder along with your IMA receipts and other CMA documents.
