You can sit for each CMA exam part once per testing window. There are three testing windows per year: January–February, May–June, and September–October. So in a single calendar year, you could theoretically take Part 1 three times and Part 2 three times if you needed to. Realistically, most candidates aim to take Part 1 in one window and Part 2 in the next window or one after, completing the certification in about 12 months. If you’re trying to move fast, you can register for both parts in the same window. Many of CMA Exam Academy’s students do exactly that and pass both within a few months.
