The Experience Verification Form is the document you submit to the IMA to confirm you’ve completed your two years of qualifying work experience. The form asks for details about your role — title, employer, dates, responsibilities — and must be signed by a supervisor, HR representative, or someone in a position to verify your work. The IMA reviews the substance of your responsibilities, not just your job title, to confirm your work meets the management accounting/financial management standard. You can submit the form before or after passing the exam, but it must be completed within seven years of passing your second exam part. The form is on the IMA website. Don’t delay this step — it’s often the bottleneck that holds candidates back.
