CMAs are required to complete 30 hours of continuing professional education (CPE) each calendar year, including at least two hours of ethics. The 30-hour requirement starts the year after you certify. CPE can come from a wide range of sources, such as IMA webinars, conferences, accredited college courses, employer training, professional development workshops, and other approved providers. You’re required to report your CPE annually through the IMA’s portal, and you should keep documentation (certificates, transcripts) in case of an audit. CPE is meant to keep your skills current, so treat it as a feature, not a chore. There’s a rich library of self-paced courses on www.cpeflow.com.
