How soon can I retake a failed CMA exam part?

Home » CMA Glossary Term » General CMA Questions » How soon can I retake a failed CMA exam part?

You can retake a failed part as soon as the next testing window opens. The testing windows are January–February, May–June, and September–October. You can only sit for each part once per window, so if you fail in January, your next opportunity is May. The waiting period is actually helpful — it gives you 8–12 weeks to address the specific weaknesses you saw in your Performance Report. You’ll need to register and pay the exam fee again to retake. Don’t rush back in without a real plan to fix what went wrong the first time — repeating the same approach usually produces the same result.
