Can I take the CMA exam online or remotely?

Home » CMA Glossary Term » General CMA Questions » Can I take the CMA exam online or remotely?

The CMA exam is taken in person at a Prometric testing center. The ICMA has not made the CMA a remote-proctored exam, primarily because of the security and integrity standards required for a global, high-stakes professional credential. There are no “online from home” CMA testing options at this time. The exam is delivered on Prometric’s secure computers at a testing center, with a proctor present and standard testing-center protocols (lockers, ID checks, no personal items at the desk). If remote testing ever becomes available, the IMA will announce it. For now, plan for a trip to your local Prometric center on exam day — and arrive early.
