Registration is a multi-step process you complete on imanet.org. First, create an IMA account and pay your annual membership fee. Next, pay the one-time CMA entrance fee, which formally enrolls you in the certification program. Then, for each exam part, register and pay the exam fee — this gives you an authorization number you’ll use to schedule your actual exam appointment at a Prometric testing center. Once you have authorization, go to Prometric’s website and pick your date, time, and location. The whole process takes about 30 minutes if you have your documents ready. Make sure your name on the IMA account exactly matches your government ID, because Prometric will check at the test center.
